Mark

This is my testimony - the Lord has preserved me. That's not preserved like a pickle - and a lot of folks might just imagine that. Christianity and faith are not exciting. Well, exciting I can do without. My great shout about all this is that I'm safe with my God. He promises to never leave us or forsake us, even though he remembers that we are dust. And so we are.

I was born under very difficult circumstances. My mother had to adopt me, and it's just as well that she did - she was murdered three years later in a mysterious chain of circumstances that have the air of the very odd about them. So far the case is closed, sealed, in fact under secrecy law.

So where did I land? Well, in a very loving home. Not a very rich family, We lived in Hull, which was a somewhat declining place then, but we had lots of friends and relatives who made for a merry time. Some of my uncles were very musical and one particularly was kind and clever, giving me a life long foundation in these things. Don't suppose he realized this.

OK then, so what? Well, Gods protection extended to the time when that family, sadly hit some rocks and we separated. But I landed again, with kind people, and a few years later was married. And lo and behold, and I promise I can't pack so much in, it WASN'T easy. But it was good.

I want you to read this, because I have faced poverty and unemployment, as well as being well off. God set (for reasons which are his own) his love on me. He forgave my many, many sins, and has prepared a home in heaven.

Maybe your running, and scared. If you're reading this to find answers, that is a distinct possibility.

I've got to say this, because there's a chance it will help you. Expect attempts to deceive you. You do have an enemy, he's called Satan, and he hates you because you have something he doesn't - a possibility of paradise. God intended you to have this possibility. He doesn't want you to fall. He actually would rather he got to heaven - the bible says that he's not willing that ANY should perish.

I love the bible 'cause of this. Its full of phrases like WHOSOEVER, and so on, beautiful words that express that glorious thing. Don't think that anything will get you there though. There's just one way, that's Jesus. Don't be fooled. There is no other anywhere.

Now get this. Please. I made some terrible mistakes. My sins are real and blunt. That not the point. The point is his forgiveness for those sins. There is nothing that is too big.

Maybe you're an ex- stormtrooper, rather than a large stuffed ego like I sometimes am. Please remember the whosoever word. Please speak, I'm sorry, I trust you, I believe you. Don't be afraid of living, much less be afraid of dying. Live for Jesus. Honor him, and mention him.

If the rapture occurs, don't feel obliged to save yourself from death. Be bold. Imagine that you're a brave young thing joining the army. And so it is, you are. But not one where you carry a M-16 - you simply carry the promises of God and HIS seal. I have to say this is a lot more weighty than any piece and hardware I'm aware of. I've been a soldier, by the way.

Try and find me if you like. I'm in England, in Yorkshire. You won't find me any greater than yourself. Believe that prayer works. Humble yourself before God. Be straight. Look for Jesus.

Yours,

Mark Grindell
